Fixing the "Start Playback:INT" problem on Samsung TVs

The problem

After I played around with the hidden service menu of my new Samsung QLED TV and accidently hit the “MASS SIMPLE TEST” option and was greeted with the ominous “Start Playback:INT” message in the upper left corner on my TV. As if this wasn’t enough the TV suddenly had a mind of its own and started changing random display settings every few seconds.

The solution

After panicking and hastly searching the internet for a few minutes I couldn’t find a proper solution for this problem. I tried powering off the TV for 30 minutes but this also didn’t work.

An hour later I finally found the solution on page eight on my google search.

Simple press the following buttons while the TV is powered on:
MUTE – STOP – STOP – STOP – EXIT

A little red-and-white message should appear in the upper left corner confirming the stopped playback.
